The Friday Five: Bird Watching

Anyone out there in love with birds…real or otherwise? Do you use them (or their cages) as decoration in your homes? How so?

  1. I love everything about birdcages (the empty kind) and have two made of wood. They’re over 25 years old and I don’t remember how or where I got them. The first shot features some really beautiful ones. I love the precision of the bars and the different shapes.

Wow Edwina – your antique birdcages sound beautiful. Where do you keep them? I agree – I think the first photo with the collection of cages is quite cool. I have a little ceramic bird similar to the bird vases in the final photo. I also have two owl bookends. That’s about it for me.

Hey Jordana have you seen these…http://www.lladro.com/porcelana/parrot they are like a million dollars each:P Available at Hollace Cluny in Toronto

    • Jordana says:

Thanks for the Lladro link Alanna. The company produces such beautiful things. My mom taught me about Lladro at a very young age (perhaps even before I was born!)…maybe she wanted me to start saving up for them? I’ve never been to Hollace Cluny…I’ll check it out!
