Displaying Collectibles

Many of you already know that I have a slight obsession with anything Parisien…at the top of the list is the Eiffel Tower. Even though I’ve seen it plenty of times, it renders me speechless on each and every visit. It’s an incredibly impressive structure.

Over the years I have slowly collected a group of mini Eiffel Tower structures. I usually have them lined in a row on my bookshelf, ordered by height.

Sometimes my guests rearrange them in new ways – one tower out of line, towers in a zig-zag formation, etc.

Of late I’ve grouped some of them in a lidded glass container.

However they’re grouped, I find clustering this collection in one place makes for a pleasing display.

Many thanks to Seema Persaud at Canadian House & Home for featuring this idea in her Readers’ Top Spring Decorating Ideas article yesterday.

Sometimes a hand-drawn Eiffel Tower is all I need to put a smile on my face. Ah – Paris!
